Why Bioluminescence? 

The idea behind this website came when I decided that I wanted to grow algae for my final project; I didn't care about anything else, I just wanted to grow algae. So I began to research how to grow it and whether there were any kits to help me do so. I soon found that I was not the only interested in this endeavor; however, I found that people were interested in bioluminescent algae in particular. This got me thinking about what I could actually do with my project, and I started wondering whether there were any practical uses for bioluminescence in our lives. As it turns out, there are. This website is dedicated to exploring those uses as they pertain to the field of environmental technology and genetic engineering. Enjoy.
